Love and Marriage
I've spent the last two days sharing in the wonderful festivities surrounding Kristin's wedding. How fun to watch a girl walk down the aisle in the "perfect dress" and look at the bride and groom in all of their happiness. Kristin was a beautiful bride and her wedding seemed to go off with out a hitch.
While I was standing up at the front of the church, I couldn't help think about what my own wedding might be like. (I do the same thing at funerals). I feel a bit sad thinking about how my dad will not be the one to give me away, about what songs I would have song and what the minister will say to my groom and I. Hope I don't have to wait too long to find out!!

A Night in Springfield
I had to go to Springfield last night to pick up my dress for Kristin's wedding. I had two things happen that I thought were a little interesting. First, I stopped to get something to eat at Panara. I don't mind eating by myself if I have something to read, so I brought along a book and was happily reading it and eating my salad. Now as a single girl, I have this fantasy that I would run into my crush at some location, we would strike up a conversation and it would be the beginning of everlasting love. It of course never happens, but a girl is aloud to day dream. In any case, this guy I've met several times saw me there and decides he must come talk to me. I have no romantic inclinations towards this guy, but he could for me, so while I'm thinking "how long is he going to stand there and talk to me," he might be thinking "WoW! maybe she'll ask me to sit down and we'll talk and fall madly in love. It's very possible that this thought never crossed his mind, but it just seems like the reverse of what I want to happen. To all of you out there who are saying, hey, maybe give this guy a chance, just take that thought right out of your head.
The other thing that was interesting is that I found an honest person working at a clothing store. I tried on this CUTE shirt, one I had seen in Vegas and wanted to buy, but as I was looking at myself in the three-way mirror I couldn't decided what I thought about it. Along comes this sales lady and she says oh, I haven't seen it on anyone, what do you think? I say it's cute, but I think it makes me look wide and get this... she says yes, it kind of does make you look wide. Some might be totally offendend, but not me. I asked for her advice with everything I tried on. A good honest opinion is hard to come by.
If your still reading, I'm impressed, this is kind of long. I'm off to my last official work day at THS.
