100th Post

I just got back from a nice long bike ride. I've been enjoying having the time to do other things besides running. I felt a little like a rebel, How do you feel about helmets for bike riders?

On another note, I had a parent tell me today that maybe his son isn't doing that great in class because I'm a women. May be true, but still a strange thing to hear from a parent.

Friday Morning.

We are getting ready to go shopping this morning. I'm a little nervous because I don't have a lot of direction. I have a plan, I'm just not sure how successful it will be. Hopefully I'll come away with some deals.

Thanksgiving Break

I've probably had more 4 day weeks this year than whole 5 day weeks, but I am so thankful for this extended break. What makes it even better, is that in just 3 and half more, I get two weeks off. I'm looking forward to spending time with family and hopefully seeing a movie (mom, are you willing to brave that awful parking lot?)

I went to a water class today at the Y, just to try something different. I didn't know which one to pick, so I ended up with lots of nice elderly women. The class was okay, nothing strenuous and I didn't feel the need to compare myself to the others in the class. I think I'll go back, but try to find a more challenging class.

Here's a few things that I'm putting on my Christmas list..
1. I wanted to put this adorable Coach purse that I saw some lady carrying, but alas, I can't find it on their web site.

2. an umbrella

3. an outside broom

4. new carpet for the family room

5. a chair for the office

6. a new pair of tennis shoes

7. a new pair of running shoes

8. to lose 10 lbs (I don't think anyone can get me that, but I'm still putting in on my list)

9. subscription to the paper

10. gift card to Ann Taylor

Okay, so not really exciting and not all practical, but just some things I've been thinking about.

A quick update

1. I'm getting ready for some friends from t-ville who are coming for a visit. I'm excited to see them and catch up.

2. I just got back from a class at the Y. My mom gave me a membership for an early Christmas present (Thanks Mom). I've only been to two classes, but am enjoying doing something besides running. My arms feel a little like jelly right now, but that's a good thing right.

3. Laurie left Blm this week. The house just doesn't feel the same without her.

4. Went to see Barbara Striesand in concert this week. I'd have pictures, but I'm such a rule follower and the ticket said no camera. Anyway, she put on a good show and I especially enjoyed the full orchestra. The crowd (which consited of mostly gay men and the over 50 crowd) was super into her. Appearantly, we got there just a few minutes late, because the guy next to me said that Rosie had just gone through and everyone around us got to shake her hand. Sorry Laurie, but I missed it. I'm blaming the traffic that made us get there late. Just a little FYI, if you ever go see Babs, you should dress up a little if you want to fit in.

5. So looking forward to this long weekend!!
