Reward

I set a goal for myself a little less than 6 weeks ago, where I said I would try to not miss a training run in those 6 weeks. I'm incredilby close to that goal and I wonder why I can't be as successful with other things I set out to do.
Anyway, a discussion was under way this weekend about what would you reward yourself with after you completed 26.2 miles. Last year I got a massage, I'm not sure what I might do this year. So the question is to you. What would you reward yourself with?

A little bit of everything

1) It's marathon season. There seems to be something different in the air on the trail on Saturday mornings. It seems like everyone out there is training for Chicago and completing about the same long run. Week four of training reminded me of why I was hesitant to sign up for this thing again. I'm going to blame it on the rise of humidity, but I must have adjusted a little, because it wasn't so bad today. I'm hopefully getting a new pair of running shoes and I'm really excited about that.

2) Favorite Summer TV. I'm really enjoying NBCs Treasure Hunters. It has qualities like the Amazing Race, so it keeps me coming back for more. I also like VH1 and the world series of pop culture. I don't care about the competition so much (I fast forward through a lot of that, yeah for DVR), but I think the questions are fun. The Closer on TNT will round out my 3 favorites so far.

3) Vacation anyone. I'm considering a trip to Florida in a few weeks. My mom will be there and it might be nice to actually go somewhere other than Chicago and St. Louis this summer.

3) My favorite vendors. I've been to 9 White Sox games this year and since we sit in the same spot all the time, I recognize the vendors who work in the same spot all the time. Here are my favorites. A) European Beer Man. If the action is slow on the field, he's a nice distractions. I know for a fact that he's not from Europe, but he has visited there, that must be when he got his look. B) skeleton Guy. This guy got to sell beer once, but I think the thing was too heavy for him, so he's now on cotton candy and licorice ropes. I really think a strong wind and he'd be falling over. C) Cheerleader Ice Cream/Hot Dog guy. I've only seen him once, but he left an impression. I don't think he's confident in his selling voice because he calls out like a cheer. I wanted to clap for him, but I don't think that would have helped.

Well those of you who were waiting for an update, here it is. This should be enough to last awhile.
