Out for a Run

I did something today that I've never done before, I ran 14 miles. It was a good run. Please don't read fast or easy into that, but as far as long runs go, not too bad. A few weeks of shorter runs before I try the 16 miler. Can't Wait.

I can't think of a good title, just stuff

Overheard in Walmart: "Mom, when I get older, can I get a boyfriend."

Sold: No, not the house, but lots of other stuff at a garage sale. The biggest thing I sold was my scale, only sold it for 75 cents, but it's a habbit to get on it several times a day. Hopefully now I won't feel so burdened by that number.

Ran: Not very far this morning. I got an incredible pain in my back. Not sure what's going on with that, but we'll rest a while and see how it feels.

Saw: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The umpa loompas where so funny. It's a lot like the original, you just learn more about Willy Wonka.

Bought: A photo album for last year's cruise pictures, and just got the actual pictures developed. Today's project is to put it all together.

Clean Sheets Again

As you may know, I am a huge fan of clean sheets. They are one of my favortie simple pleasures in life. This post is not about clean sheets though, it's about my awesome mother. I came home for a quick visit and she had a gift for me. She gave me a cute little measuring cup and a candle that is called "Clean Sheets." How great is it that my mom knows what little thing would bring a smile to my face. I am so blessed to have a wonderful mom.

I did it

If anyone cares, I did go to Wendy's and it was GOOD!! On the advice of Krista, I went for a walk afterwards, so that makes it a little better.

I passed out today

I've decided that since I've passed out today (at a funeral no less) that I should get to do or not do whatever I want. Like even though I'm trying to eat healthy, Wendy's chicken strips and fries are calling my name, and I think, I had a rough day ending up in that dirt, I should have Wendy's. We will see if my will power holds up.

On a more serious note, my heart just breaks for the kids here in Taylorville, they have buried more of their friend in the last 6 weeks than I have in my whole life. I only hope that I have been somewhat of an example to them and that they are seeking out the true comforter.

Who Knew

I just finished running errands around T-ville and I'm going to miss knowing so many people. It's fun to run into the kids and find out what they are doing with their lives and to hear them say "see ya Miss Graziano"

Lazy Days of Summer

I'm sure later I'll be complaining that there is too much to do and not enough time, but right now it's depressing how little I am doing. I swear, I could go days at a time without any human interaction. It doesn't do the soul too much good.

Pampered Princess

My mom likes to call me this, mostly because she gives me lots of stuff and likes to make sure I get my way. Her love language is gift giving, is that my fault? Anyway, the other day, I was telling Laurie that I felt like Job, and the more I think about that the more awful it sounds. When I made the comment, I was complaining about waiting for things (read a husband and my house selling) and I said while nothing bad is happening neither is anything good. HELLO VICKIE open your eyes. Every breath and every moment is a blessing from God, stop your whining.

So that's where I am right now!!
