Wheel of Fortune

Well, I'm back in not so sunny central Illinois. Had a good time in Vegas, of course no major winnings to speak of. My favorite gambling to place at the Wheel of Fortune slot machines. Besides the normal allure of the slots, this one has a chance for bonus winnings by spinning the wheel. While it usually only pays a few dollars, I did hit "big" once for $100 on the big wheel. That only served to make me want to hoard my big winnings, but the machine won and I kept playing. That same machine liked me and gave me another nice pay and I managed to walk away with something to actually cash in.

One of my favorite parts of the trip was seeing the show "O" It's a cirque du soleil show and amazing. The funny part was that before the show my mom and I were talking and I missed that she was talking about a different show, so the whole time, I'm trying to find a story line that doens't exist. I'm thinking to myself, am I the only one who doesn't get it. Oops, I still managed to enjoy the show and would highly recomend it.

Clean Sheets

I think one of life simple pleasures is clean sheets. I think the first night after I put on fresh sheets, I always sleep better. I'm addidicted to the new downy with lavender and vanilla. Sorry to those of you who can't get this stuff, but just knowing it's on my sheets makes me happy.

On the other hand, I am so overwhelmed trying to get stuff done before I go to Vegas, I don't know how much sleep I'm going to get in the next 2 days. I probably shouldn't worry, things always seem to get done when they need to. I'll do what I can and then enjoy my time in Sin City.

Is that me?

Today at school, I 'm washing my hands and look at myself in the mirror and thought, I don't think this is what I look like. It was very strange, maybe it was the cardigan and my roots showing, but I felt like I looked my age. I didn't like it.

Different Shoes

Okay, for those of you waiting for this, here it is, my first blog entry. This morning, I was blessed with the opportunity to chat with my wonderful friend Laurie. Now, I knew exactly how much time I needed to get ready for church, except for the fact I didn't know what I was going to wear and I really didn't have time to iron. So, I do the smart thing and wear my new outfit, which of course, I've only tried on in the fitting room and am not positive how it really looks on, but hey why not. So I put in on, turns out I still like it and I even have 2 minutes to spare. Your asking, what's your point? Well, about half way through the service I look down and notice that in my great hurry, I had put on two different black shoes. Now the sermon was good, but all I could think about was how many people I had talked to and did they notice that I had different shoes on and how quickly I could I possibly get home and fix my little fashion mistake. I could just picuture myself as a glamour don't with that little black thing over my eyes.
